High-performance ultrasound technology

The standard unit is equipped with five transducers, comprising a booster, a converter and a sonotrode.

The number of transducers can be selected to suit the flow rate to be processed.

Furthermore, it is possible to expand the number of ultrasonic systems used as required, thereby adapting the system to any plant size.

The ultrasonic components

Each oscillating assembly is designed to operate at a power of 1 kW. In practice, however, this power is not utilised continuously. These extremely robust units are generally operated on a continuous basis (24/7). Maintenance requirements are minimal, only the sonotrodes, which come into direct contact with the medium being processed, are easily replaceable wear parts.

How it works

Extensive empirical research has led to the development of a patented high-performance ultrasonic system that is optimally designed for the disintegration of biomass. Our ultrasonic systems operate as a continuous-flow system with high intensity and amplitude in the lower frequency range (20 and 35 kHz). The aqueous medium is treated with ultrasound for an extremely short retention time of only one minute. Recirculation of the medium is not necessary. The ultrasonic systems can be used for flow rates of up to 2 m³/h. For suspensions with lower solids concentrations, the throughput may be higher.
